Cody,Wyoming

Starting the rodeo with the National Anthem and a prayer.
Anticipating the evening....Barb, Carol ,Dean and Walt.

Jodi with her new friend.

Kathy and Gene await the action.

Joe and Becky braved this big boy....sitting was the easy part, getting on and off...not so easy, but they did it !!

Do you like my hat?

How about this hat?

When in Rome.....

A view from Chief Joseph's Highway.

Well...just when we thought that we had seen everything there is that is beautiful, we travel highway 14 through from Sheridan to Cody. The views were awesome and there weather PERFECT!!!!!! We actually got to see a hang-glider launch from the mountain. That was pretty cool. Staying at the Irma hotel in Cody...built by Buffalo Bill for his daughter Irma. What really neat rooms. All different and each furnished with antique beds, dressers, commodes and even pull chain toilets (some things just fascinate me...lol) Went to the Cody Stampede Rodeo last night. Now, this is a genuine cowboy/cowgirl rodeo and it was great. The clowns were hilarious and the riders got thrown around a lot. One was even thrown right over the fence. We did manage to get Becky and Joe on a LIVE Brahma bull, and the Franks family got to show their true desire to be cowboys! I just love Izzy's boots!!!! Leaving this morning for Yellowstone proper up the Chief Joseph Scenic Byway. TTFN!!! Jer (And yes...that is a live bull!!!)

Getting ready to launch. It is about 3000 feet directly down from here!!!!

Hang-gliders

Take a look at the background and you can see how high up we are

Watching the hang-gliders

As we were leaving Sheridan, headed for the Big Horns, we ran across this hang-glider getting ready to launch. We HAD to see that!

Deadwood at night!

Deadwood can be a lot of fun in the evening. Shootouts, meeting Wild Bill, who looks quite good having just been shot, and of course, the women of the night! (Actually, it was a bachelorette party!!!)

Day three afternoon

Gene and Lacerne found the pillar engraved with Michigan facts.

Group photo on a beautiful day.

You tend to forget that Mount Rushmore is so amazing. They have done such a nice job of keeping the park so clean and accessible to everyone! The weather is absolutely gorgeous and the temperature is perfect, what else do we need?!?!?!? Went to Bear Country at Eric's recommendation and is was well worth the time. The baby bears were adorable and performed like little kids. e Just checked in to the hotel in Deadwood and have a very nice leisurely afternoon. Here are some more photos for you all to look and and enjoy.
